Quick Connect for Policy Makers and Practitioners

Thank you for your interest in the West Coast Poverty Center. The Center focuses on increasing understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and effective policy approaches to reducing it in the west coast states.

The WCPC Poverty Research Flash series highlights new research on the causes, consequences, and effective policy responses to poverty. PDF copies of the Flashes are available on our WCPC Publications page. If you would like to receive Flashes as they are released, please email us and let us know if you would prefer to receive a paper or electronic copy.

For an extensive and current overview of trends in poverty with respect to labor markets, demographics, social and economic inequality, and family structure, please refer to our Poverty Basics section. The section includes current data at the national level as well as state level data for Washington, Oregon, and California.

The West Coast Poverty Center Speakers Bureau is made up of experts in various topics related to poverty and policy in the west coast states.
